    Dealers of Eastern Bloc Militaria

    Comrades,

Is there any chance we could collect a list of links for dealers in this stuff on the internet? Might help us all track down those bits we need to complete some items...

I'll throw a few in to start with to get the ball rolling

Have you tried Nota Bene Militaria? He has a nice cross section of Soviet items.

I highly recommend this dealer. He has a perfect reputation, and is very, very picky about what he sells. The one small drawback is that many of his award groups sell within a day or two of them being listed - but, that's a testimony of his good prices and top-quality merchandise.

Merci Dalton. Non en fait, je ne connaissais pas cet endroit. Je suis nouveau à Montréal puisque je viens de Québec. Merci pour le renseignement, je vais y jeter un coup d'oeil.

Motka is a good and honest dealer but a little bit expensive on some item.

Soviet : I'm from Quebec city too, I work on St-Paul street since the last five years, unfortunatly militaria are really hard to find here.

                          Another Great dealer

One of the best dealers in beautiful higher-end Soviet (mostly WWII) uniforms, hats and flags is Doug Drabik. He finds these remarkable pieces that come directly from the the original sources. His reputation is top notch. I've dropped more than my share of lunch money with him but it's been worth it. He just posted some new pieces.

Here's the link to Doug's July 2005 list

                              The exact name is :

                              Surplus d'Armée sports St-Laurent, 1611 St-Laurent street Montreal H2X 2S9. Phone: 514-843-3040 ask for Isaak ( he's the owner)

He always have some soviet militaria but I've never seen any Bulgarian item.
