I posted a while back with questions on how to sew, and what insignia to sew to a Soviet M69 field uniform. Many thanks to those who helped me again! Anyway, it is a long time since that post but here is what I wound up with. An M69 signals (correct me if I'm wrong) tunic:
I also have this:
Am I correct in guessing that it is an EM jack-shirt intended to be worn under a dress tunic? Hence the replacement of board loops with simple button epaulettes? I really am not sure.
I have a subdued tunic, belt and a set of breeches on the way, all I need now is a Pilotka and a collar liner. I think I should be able to find a Pilotka without too much trouble, but where can I find collar liners? I will post more photos once the ensemble is complete. Hopefully my fellow NVA Genossen will approve of my expanding "political perception."
