I had hoped to have some more images by now but, alas, the sun did not cooperate. Will try again in a couple of days. In the mean time I am really enjoying the results of this thread so far. Beautiful stuff!

John, do you mean the Mongolian Red Banner of Labour or the Combat Valour?

This is a Bulgarian Order of George Dimteriov. It is similiar to the Soviet Order of Lenin.

Hey John - Thanks. If you check my book page 156 you will also see the document that went with the medal.

And some Soviet orders and medals enamel. Oh yeah, you'll find a couple of post Soviet and Umalatova items in the bunch.

John, I'll try to get those close-ups tomorrow.

Here is a close-up. This is an early issued piece as you can tell by it's serial number of "22" (circa 1950). This order was probably was awarded to someone important but without the award booklet we will never know who it was .

Wow over 240+ views and only 5 people contributing to the thread, pretty sad .

I remember back in the day (3 yrs ago) a thread like this was a call to arms.

This is a North Korean People’s Army Guards Badge. This is an early (1950’s circa) Soviet made version with screw back fastener. It is similar to the Soviet Badge of the same name and awarded to units and formations that distinguishing themselves during the War of Unification, also known as the Korean War.
