Hello Koldun - Thank you very much for taking the time to post some of your collection. Very impressive especially to have a two nevsky groupings.
Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

          Koldun, impressive collection.

What guarantees that the two "dublikat" Nevskys you've shown are actually mint-issued duplicates and not some forger grinding off two serial-numbers and doing it himself? I've never seen mint-issued duplicates done in such a heavy-handed manner.

This information is from military archive in Podolsk.
The owner was in prison in Stlin`s time after his
            death he got awards(reissued) back...

Koldun, I understand that Podolsk verifies the serial number information of the awardings. The problem I have is with the reengraved serial numbers on the pieces.

With Podolsk information, anyone could take ANY Nevsky, obliterate the piece's original serial number and then engrave a new one on, then cover their work by saying it is a "Dublikat."

For example, serial number information for awards of the marshals of the Soviet Union is widely known. I could take a $25 Red Star, re-engrave the "marshal's" serial-number, call it a "reissue" and now my piece is conceivably much more valuable since Podolsk archive information would "confirm" the serial number.

How do you know these are official Monetnii Dvor dublikats and the situation I've descibed above isn't the case?
