Hello Koldun - Thank you very much for taking the time to post some of your collection. Very impressive especially to have a two nevsky groupings.Somebody, after all, had to make a start. Koldun, I understand that Podolsk verifies the serial number information of the awardings. The problem I have is with the reengraved serial numbers on the pieces.
With Podolsk information, anyone could take ANY Nevsky, obliterate the piece's original serial number and then engrave a new one on, then cover their work by saying it is a "Dublikat."
For example, serial number information for awards of the marshals of the Soviet Union is widely known. I could take a $25 Red Star, re-engrave the "marshal's" serial-number, call it a "reissue" and now my piece is conceivably much more valuable since Podolsk archive information would "confirm" the serial number.
How do you know these are official Monetnii Dvor dublikats and the situation I've descibed above isn't the case?
