    No Chris,unfortunately it was not me...I just have the nr 4.....At the time,money was missing badly....I couldn't buy it....I'll just wait (not indefinitely I hope....);other albums will surface up someday.....

      Hey, would anyone be willing to post pictures of my Afghan war collection? I dont have a members account so I cant post pics but I have about 14 different uniforms including two Afghan army DRA uniforms and a ton of rare period pictures....and Im not talking anything that has ever been posted on the internet ;]

            could you show what an afghan period jacket looks like and what are the differences between it and the M88, being a bit of a novice on afghan items i would sure like to know

              They would have worn the M1969 pattern field uniform with KLMK cammoflage over it on the first days... then when it became more of a long term war, the dress regulations went out the window

              Other things you might have seen them wear pre-88 would have been the "Mubuta" or "spetsnaz" field unifom

                  Yup that's it. Although obviously that one is for Motor Rifles.

                  In combat the full colour insignia is removed, underneath are subdued insignia read sewn on, rank tape and arm of service devices are applied and there is your field version.

                  Not sure if in the original stages of Afganistan they actually bothered to take off the full colour insignia. Certainly I have seen photos of it still on...
