Hello all - I need some assistance in identifying the posted ribbon? I believe the ribbon is Czechoslovakian and maybe the Decoration of Courage...but not sure...

Nico and Paul - Thanks for the follow up. The reason I was thinking it was Czech was because of the blue, red and white color which was the same as the czech flag. And there reason for the decoration of courage is because it matchs the ribbon except that the decoration of courage is blue and my ribbon is maroon on both sides of the multi colors.
So I for sure could be in the wrong country, but to date I have been unable to locate another WP country that comes close to this ribbon color set up. So I am open to yours and any other forum members posts about the ribbon.Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

Thanks for the follow up...much appreciated. I am still stumped as to what this ribbon is.

I have no idea what it is btw, just adding some thoughts ;-)Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

I also seem to remember it being a VFW medal ribbon for colour guards.

Hi Ralph,
Your guess about Czekoslovakia is right.
This is the medal "30 Years of the SNB", rhe National Security Corps (Sbor Narodni Bezpecnosti-SNB). It comprises Public Security (Verejna Bezpecnost--VB) and State Security (Statni Bezpecnost--StB).
