Finally have some time to post the pictures that I took yesterday. Here is my Heer Generals cap to start with. I wanted to take some better pictures because some were blurry but it raining outside and too dark inside to take the photos that I want.

The area showing the interior with the prongs not through the lining. Plus an officers cap which I think is close in time to your General officers cap.

Great hats! The first one is really curious to me. Flat flap buttons instead of rounded is a first for me on a BW item. Also picturing a general wearing a M43 without being GJ is a bit odd. But when you're a general, rules are different

thanks for posting these nice caps.
I agree with Steve that the first cap is really curious. I haven´t seen a BW cap in this style before.
But as Steve said, Generals have their own rules.

If it is pre-Schiffchen era, not really odd - generals received these caps too I think. What is odd is the material and buttons. Look almost blue-grey on my computer. The buttons remind me of some Bundespost ones.
