Hello Klaus,
thanks for the correction. Learning never stops.
The jacket is dated 10/62. I found another stamp in the jacket but I don´t know what "Ii" means.
The marksmanship lanyard was attached with a early Bundeswehr Sanella badge with crossed rifles. But not by me....
I got the Uniform of a ex BGS member who served in the 1960s.

It is early example of the Dienstrock "2nd model" (introduced 1960). The stamp is actually "I." (ink smeared during stamping on yours) but have not found it out what means, it is also in earlier BGS uniforms. I have also tunic with "II." stamp. Possibly depot or factory control stamp?
Regards

I have been under the assumption that the I and II stamps were marks of the GSG the uniform was assigned to.

Ah. And now that I think about it, these are most likely battalion designations. Germans traditionally use Roman numerals for battalion (Abteilung). Checking over some source materials I see that is also the case with BGS. Not surprisingly there are also three Grenzschutzabteilungen per Grenzschutzgruppe. Companies are called Hundertschaft (as there is about 100 men in a company, that makes sense) and are sequentially numbered across the three battalions as per traditional German designations. Seems that they have four companies per battalion, but I don't know if the 4th is a "weapons company" or if they had four identical Hunderschaft with integrated heavy weapons.
Following traditional German designations, and the source I checked, an example looks like this:
GSA II/6 = 2nd battalion of group 6 (GSA II, GSG 6)
I am guessing a full designation down to Hunderschaft would be:
2. Hu, GSG II/6, GSK Nord = 2nd company, 2nd battalion of group 6, north command
Another German traditional designation is a unique 3 digit number for each Hundertschaft. 506 = 5. Hu, GSG II/6 and 106 = 1. HU, GSG II/6
Since battalions probably had their own dedicated barracks and supply stocks back then my vote is for Grenzschutzabteilung designation
