Thank you for your nice comments.

Now I want to show you my number one.

It´s the Zweitaschenrock of Generaloberstabsarzt und Inspekteuer des Sanitäts- und Gesundheitswesens Herbert Hockemeyer.

When I bought the jacket there were only loops on the jacket without 57er medals.
I hope I will find the medal bar and the other 57er medals from him some day.
The 57er medals which I attachted are early ones from my collection.

The Zweitaschenrock was produced from 1963 till 1972.
Between this time there were only three persons in the Bundeswehr with the rank Generaloberstabsarzt.

    Herbert Hockemeyer 1. April 1967 31. März 1969 Generaloberstabsarzt

            Thank you!

Now I want to show you my favourite visor cap of my collection.

It´s a visor cap "sandfarben" from the air force.
A very rare piece and very hard to find. The cap is in a very good condition.
Now I´m looking for a Heeres visor cap "sandfarben"

            Greetings,
            Stefan

Nice uniforms!! Very, very nice in fact

It is crazy to think that the Sandfarbe and General's Schirmützen are probably worth more than half of the uniforms in your pictures. Every time one is available for sale I find myself cursing the hat collectors because they have a different concept of value than I do. Several hundred Euros for a hat is just too much for me, so the best I can do is drool over pictures like yours.

                    Hello Steve,

                    thanks for your comment.
I had big luck with my Sandfarbene visor cap. I bought it last year for only 35€.

But You are right the caps are normally more expensive than the uniforms

This will be a long hunt ... during the last years I saw some EM / NCO caps advertised or in other collections but never saw one with Heer insignia originally applied. Only LW ... for sure because only LW units were deployed to places where these hats were alowed to be worn on regular base! Heer units my have taken part in exercises abroad, but then there would have been no need for dress uniforms AND these trainig fields were far more north ...

                        Hello Jens,

                        thank you!

I´ve only seen sandfarbene visor caps of the Heer in books.

I think the next time I will look for a sandfarbene LW jacket (with shoulderboards!!) for my visor cap.
The big problem are the shoulderboards, unfortunately they are missing at the most jackets...

                        Greetings,
                        Stefan

                          Hi Stefan,

that is a stunning collection you have!! I drooled from the first to the last Picture, really really breath taking .
We already met each other virtually via E-Mail. It was about H.Hockmeyer's uniform.
Finally I got the Chance to see your Zweitaschenrock... I must say that the Jacket as it is seen on the Mannequin looks a bit smaller in size compared to the Viertaschenrock that I have, which sports the rank of Generalarzt and medical branch insignia.

                          Love the Visor of Hockemeyer!!

                          Cheers,

                          Alex

I can asure you, that these hot climate khaki uniforms were worn by Army personnel as well. In the 1960's at least members of the German (Rocket) Artillery and Anti Aircraft Artillery were trained in US Army training installations (Ft. Sill, Ft. Bliss etc.). I recently saw a complete photographic album of a former Stabsfeldwebel, who's class was trained on HONEST JOHN rocket systems in the U.S in the 1960's. They wore the khaki uniforms while in the States. Will see if I can get the album again and post some scans here.

                              Gentlemen,

I have modified this post as I had said earlier that I had a Heer sandfarben visor cap which I do not. Faulty memory for which I apologize. I do have two Luft sandfarben hats. One with a bronze cap bagde and one with a silver cap badge.

                              Regards,

                              Gordon

                                @ Alex: Thank you
I will inform you when I get new informations or photos from Hockemeyer.

The height of hockemeyer would be very interesting to say if my Viertaschenrock or your Viertaschenrock belongs to him.
The size of our Viertaschenröcke are quite different. Your one is longer than mine.

                                Regards,
