Gentlemen,
I discovered an interesting cap yesterday while searching for something else entirely. It is an M43 style cap for Neidersachsen Jagdaufseher (Game Warden). This is the first time that I have ever done research in this area and I am not sure that I understand it very well so all and every comment/picture would be welcome.
Game Wardens in Germany would appear to be quite different that those in North America where they enforce mainly hunting and fishing regulations of states/provinces. German Game Wardens seem come in several different flavours. Some work for the state and some work for private organizations giving hunting lessons etc. I am going to stop hear before I make any big mistakes about the Neidersachsen Jagdaufseher and those of other states. Please fill us in on what I find an interesting area that I know little about.
Regards,
Gordon
here is a cap of a Neidersachsen Jagdaufseher. In the centre of the top of the antlers, although they are not legible in this picture, will be the letters LJV with the J being larger than the other two letters. You will see that in one of the pictures that I post. All states seem to use the same type of badge/logo for the Jagdaufseher but use their own state crest or special logo for this group in the badge.
