Hello fellow forum-members!
As my avatar also suggests, I'm a collector of DDR/NVA militaria, and usually don't have to ask too much in other sections.
However, in a set on ebay, which contained a NVA jacket I needed, there was this Bundeswehr jacket as well.
Here are the pictures, to start with:
So, all information on this item is welcome! I would like to know;
-What it is (I guess an officer of some land force, but what specifically. And what rank, what section of the armed forced (waffenfarbe?), and what does the shield on the left sleeve stand for?)
-How old it is (my own NVA-knowledge tells me that this sort of sleeve must be some older jacket. This, combined with the seller saying it's from 1964, makes me think it's mid-60's :P. Could this be right?)
-Is this worth something? (I have no idea ) And if so, how much?
And do please tell everything else there is to know ^^ I'm very curious, even though it's not my cup of tea usually!
I do not have further pictures yet. They can be made once the package arrives here, which will be in (I guess) about 2 weeks from now
