Tragetasche Z. u. V. MG1

    Gents - Great thread on the oft neglected machine gun accessories pouch.

    For the markings freaks out there (and yes, I count myself as a member in good standing), I 've included the following:

    Example One - Inside flap marked “ 6/90-104 1A”. Bottom rear marked “1005-12-124-2163 Tragetasche Z.u.V. MG 1”.

    Example Two - Bottom rear marked “12-124-2133, Ta.f. Z.u.V. MG 42, RAO VI/60”.

    Example two had to have been one of the first issued by the BW as it still refers to the MG3 as the MG42. It looked very much like Gordon's example.

    LIS - I've flipped through some of my references containing pictures of troops in the field and have yet to see a primary gunner with a P1. I did come across a few wearing G3 pouches, which I found odd as there was no evidence they were equipped with a rifle. I'll keep looking and let you know what I find.

      What is I have:
      (DFB JgBtl?)
      (Jaeger or Panzergrenadier)

      And there is my MG3 pouch, which very similar to your example one description:
