    Wartime Pilot/Postwar Fliegerbluse

One of the guys who frequents here suggested I post my new uniform here. I had posted the awards in the '57 section already but what-the-heck, I'll drop some images here.

I recently picked this up from John Casino. I had asked him to find me a nice '57 DKiG to go with my wartime 134 and he provided this instead. To say the price was right is an absurd understatement but then John is always far more reasonable than any other dealer I've ever run across since I started collecting Third Reich stuff seriously back in '98.

Anyway, here's a nice uniform. Enjoy. Rick C.

his sidecap. I hate sidecaps. I would love to find a visor with bullion insignia to add to this but not really being a post war collector I haven't a clue where to look or what to pay. If someone has a suggestion I'm all ears.

Finally, not being a post war collector I've not a clue what this represents but, it's there. Guessing simply flight wings...

Interesting setup. The jacket is a Gesellschaftanzug -- a form of dress uniform rather than a service uniform.

The wing is for someone in aviation logistics, not for aircrew. GAF, over time, has pretty much adopted a wing-type badge for just about everyone.

The sidecap shown is an enlisted mans cap. The officer version is the same pattern but with silver piping instead of yellow.
