    bf109e4,

The cap you are talking about will not be found in wear in pictures. It is a fake and not a cap worn in the Bundeswehr as Sprogcollector has indicated above.
Don't worry about your English or the fact that you are a new to collecting BW items. We were all new at this once upon a time. Please keep asking questions and we will do our best to answer them.

    Regards,

    Gordon

I have seen such cap before. I think it is Sturm manufacture (although ASMC sells them). They made some fake field caps from current flecktarn pattern but in olive, BGS-sumpftarn, etc. Also flecktarn ones with buttons and bad colours. Sturm is very bad about West German fakes, but fortunately they are not very convincing.

      regards
      Klaus

        LuckyStrike23 - Awesome pictures!

Thanks for sharing these previously unseem images; where do I begin my questions!?!?

Gordon - Would it be possible to pull LuckyStrike23's Heerestruktur 1 armor photos onto a different thread?

I'm sure there are many armor enthusiasts who are missing out on these amazing images because they are not particulary interested in caps.

The conversation topics about LuckyStrike23's pictures are almost too many to list:
        - performance and maintenance of the M-47/M-48 series tanks in Bundeswehr service
        - the Sherman ARV as Bergepanzer
        - attitudes of Wehrmacht panzermen serving in the Bundeswehr towards the "ami" tanks, cooperation with the Americans, and the odds against the Russians
        - the development of modern German armored doctrine and its influence on NATO
        - transitioning from American tanks to the Leopard

That's enough for now, my fingers are getting tired...

Thanks for considering this thought Gordon, I'm sure we'll get something worked out.

This is a prime example of why I enjoy this forum so much. You never know when something really cool is going to pop up or how one simple question from a new member can lead to a wealth of knowledge on an entirely different subject.

I'm really surprised! So these caps r not original, tht's y there isn't a pic showing abt these cap!

However it is very convincing to me and to some of the other newbie, In HK there is a particular street tht is full of militia shops and they sell mainly US, British and German army clothing and gears. And in German uniform, the camo one and the oliver green(Bundeswehr) are the common one, As for the field caps, the grey one is common, but as for this "fake" Oliver green cap, we really thought it exist, cuz the "camo" version was out...

          http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/a...GreenBWcap.jpg

I think I am the only the few tht know this cap is fake, if I were to sell it, I think many will flock to me and buy

By the way, thz for the trouble to all...

            TJ,

I am sure it would be possible to start a new thread, using pictures luckySstrike23 posted. I'll see what I can do over the next few days but I am getting my sea shipment packed up come Monday and this is a busy wekend sorting out the different shipments.

            Regards,

            Gordon
