    Hello Kees,

I work for the DB. Tonight I had night shift and as usual I checked the forum and saw your post.

What you've found is a luggage locker key
Hard to say from which station, as they are standard all over the Republic.

DB does not give any reward for findings

In the pictures I attached are the lockers in the station Alexanderplatz in Berlin were I work....I made them this night

    Cheers,

    Alex

Alex, thank you for clearing the key mystery
I've read online that those lockers are emptied after 72 hours and the contents then are stored for 4 weeks to give the owner a possibility to get his stuff back.
I think I have my key for over a year now.
Take care and a pleasant next shift.
      All the best,
      Kees

        Vestische Strassenbahnen

These two were in a tin box filled with civilian clothes buttons.
It's always worth checking those button lots wich every household has one.
At least households used to,don't know about the Iphone generation.
Nice that the buttons say where they are from.
Often the badge pictured on them causes another item on the mystery pile.
        The link gives info in German for this transportation firm;

        all the best,

            Hi,

due to the plastic visor I would say it might be an east german make.....also have a feeling that the "Mützenkranz" is not original to it....
            ...this is just my thought.

Two inside pockets and on the bottom one is a button fixed with the letters KVG R on it.
I've googled for that abreviation and there are more then one possibilities for it.
Kieler Verkehrs gesellschaft (Kiel) or Kahlgrundverkehrsgesellschaft in Bavaria.
However I'm going for the biggest and oldest strassenbahn ; Kasseler Verkehrs Gesellschaft (Kassel).
If I'm wrong please say so and I also wonder where that R on the button stands for.

Kiel's Traffic Compan uses KVAG for Kieler Verkehrsaktiengesellschaft.
I have a box full of stuff from a Friends Mom who worked there in the 1950's/60's.

                  Dear Friends,

I'm not a big collector of Bundesbahn items, but I couldn't resist this engaging photo. I hope it is of use as a reference. Sadly, there was no writing on the back.

                  All the best,
                  TJ

                    TJ,

A larger photo would be of more use. In the new forum outline, when you post a picture, you have a choice of sizes. From small, like yours, to "full size". To select size, once you have uploaded the picture go to the right until you see "full size" and click on that. The pictures will then be as big as the one in the last post above yours. Looking forward to a larger photo.

                    Regards,

                    Gordon

Hopefully, my picture posting techniques will improve as I get used to the new system. Sorry for the mess.
