You guys should check out the web site for The Queen's Royal Lancers. Its been a few years since I built it.....
www.qrl.uk.com
The 5th Irish Lancers use the colour green from their regimental badge. When both the 16th and the 5th were amalgamated the idea was to combine elements of uniform AND colours from both Lancer units badges into one. Although the intention was to do the same with 17th/21st they didnt hit it off as it was originally intended. The writing was to be made yellow to represent the 21st.
My greatest military honour is the fact that the QRL now go into action with a regimental 'motto' I designed........for I am not just a badge collector but a badge designer.
