    We used to have a yearly dinner with the very men out of the film "Theirs was the glory"...The Canadian Engineers of the 23rd Fd Coy RCE. This unit is perpetuated by the modern 2nd Combat Engineer Regiment. They used to bring their personal photo albums often times.

    Another good film is "The Red beret"...

    Some of my favorite WW2 British films:

    Ice cold in Alex
    Play Dirty
    Appointment in London
    They Who Dare
    One of our Aircraft is missing
    Night Train to Munich
    The 49th Parellel
    Pimpernell Smith
    Went the day well
    The first of the few
    They were not divided

        I agree with all the lists of good war films. Sea of Sand is one of my favourite films. The Long Range Desert Group Captain Kennedy Shaw was one of the advisors...
