Denison smock "pant"

What do you think about this "pant"..?! ww2 or after (Indochine etc).

i'found "pant" like this today and i'don't found ww2 picture for this model..

You have to look in

- "Le Tommy de la liberation"
- maybe in "For King and country" (but I'm not sure)
- several "Armes militaria" magazines

The belt strap seems OK, the front pocket too and also the ankle fasteners.

This type of clothing was issued to some troops/ units in WW2 like SAS and commando.
After the war it was used on a larger scale in Algeria, Indochine,...
But it's a good WW2 pair of trousers.

There is nothing wrong with this style of windproof trousers. They look like standard British issue with an original label and a W/|\D stamp inside the waist. The only alteration is the new zip - this may have replaced the old zip that was rusty, jammed or broken. The white paint also seems quite common - I have a matching smock, also with white paint stains in places.

Please also remember that these camouflage items were not only issued to SAS and commando units - many sellers say this purely to increase the prices. They were issued to many units in North West Europe, whole battalions and divisions in some cases. There are many pictures out there that show them in use.

As Mathew said , a good pair of windproof trousers which accompanied the smock, nothing to do with the Denison smock at all , a few years ago these where everywhere and you could pick them up for £20 but now they have increased in value and you don't see as many , as the stains and repairs , also remember people used these to work in well after the war just like army trousers now ,
So nothing wrong with the trousers but the paint etc just depreciates them a little .
