Hey Justin, Heres my 2/32nd hat for comparison, Its also made in 1942 but its made in Victoria, I got this one about 6 months back off a good mate paid a bit for it but It has provenance and I got a couple of period pictures of the original owner of which one he is wearing it too, cool thing is he also served in the RAAF before joining the Army.

    Cheers Luke.

Hey dude! Ok sweet, very nice indeed and you can now see the similarity in the patches.
With provenance you are loving it indeed!
      Cheers for sharing!

Did you finally end up putting your sacred squadron set up together?

          Luke.
          Hi Luke!

Hope I 'll be able to find one some time!

The Sacred Squadron set up is ready, but I 'd like to add a khaki beret with Greek insignia to it, as it's quite "neutral" now, identical to a Commonwealth Commando one... Problem is, these are rare as hen's teeth and prices are quite high, if one ever turns up.

Looks like I 'll have to save quite a high amount of money!

          Best regards,
          Giorgos

Very nice slouch hats guys. I might have to get some of mine out to take some decent photos of again. I haven't really touched slouch hats for a couple of years but still have about 7 or 8 dated from 1915 to 1941.

Hi Justin congrats on the slouch hat, nice pickup, I'm like you I want to pickup some more Aussie militaria.

G'day Mark, the '43 slouch hat I got off you is still my prized piece, cheers.

Unfortunatley not patched but a nicely dated '1943 hat.

Cheers always looking to pickup some more WW1 medals, mostly these are British pairs, I've got my familys medals at my mums on display.

I think the ordanance and shells and bits & pieces add to the display.

Definately a nice neat little display you have there mate, I sold all my ww1 groups off a while back except for my G-Grandfathers medals, so I could just stick with my Aussie ww2 collection.
