A very unusual varient FS Fighting Knife

WOW-Some very interesting information. I would have never guesed it
to be a war era handle. Having a wartime photo of the knife in
wear is absolutely wonderfull

Did you know this guy??
How did he end up with an original scabbard and a made up knife You would have thought that he would have kept the knife that came with the scabbard or do you think that during the war you could have bought a scabbard separately

The provenance could not be better Irv, I have all the details needed and history. I am not able to ask any questions as he has passed on. It is possible that the knife was made to his own specification, or even his patrol's. Auxiliary Unit items are difficult to comment about, they used some strange things as I am sure you will know. They were given some weaponry well in advance of other units, such as the Commandos. Without the supportive history and photograph it is easy to condemn such a knife, but genuine and interesting it surely is. Regards, Clive.
