Clive, Thanks for posting the additional photos of the knife, it is a very interesting example and I find the provenance to the FSSF extremely fascinating as well.

      Hey gentlemen.
First I must start by saying that you have posted some really nice Fairbairn Sykes knives here
Second, Im new to this forum and I have just caught a interesst in the FS fighting knife. So I would like to ask if there is anyone that has a "user" 2nd model FS for sale? It doesn´t have to have a sheath but good if it has, the blade doesn´t need to have a rare marking or so. Maybe THE FS in your collection that you have thought letting go of?
I hope that I havn´t affended anybody by asking I really hope somebody can help me.

      Thanks, spy

Hi Spy, welcome to the forum.

You will not be aware, but "Wanted" or "Sales" adverts are not allowed within the forum. No problem, as you are new here.

        Cheers, Ade.

PS Some great items here guys!

A reply for Gerry who asked about the name of the 1stSSF Officer who owned the 1st Pattern FS I posted. After spending a while searching for the info I finally found it. His name was Major W.Mair. I believe he was an Executive Officer in the First Regiment. All the best, Clive.
