    Polish MK II

    Hello all,
I post here my british/polish MK II, no story behind this one, I've got it around 1989 from a old french collection. And saw the same ones in 2 french museums one at Boulogne-sur-Mer and the other at the Bayeux museum.
Thank you to give me your feeling abour this one.

                  Hello,
                  Guy,
Thank you for your kind words. Yes I am very happy with this one and is one of my favourite even among the german helmet I own.

                  Gary,
Thank you for the info, I recall it does exist white painted eagles do you know where they were "issued" ? And Does exist a classification of the different types of eagles ?

                  Best regards
                  Phil.

                    Eagles

                    Phil,
The Eagles vary to quite an extent. There are a few factors ...Pre-War, Early war, Late war .. etc etc.

I'll have a rummage around some books for some scans of various shots, and post them when I get a chance.

..The "British" - Polish Eagles seem to be the most consistant .. Para Brigade, 1st Corp, Naval etc ...

                    Gary J.

                        Polish Para Bungee circa 1942

                        Ok,
I've started to look through the examples of the various "Exile" Polish Helmet eagles.
I will not place them in time order, ... just as I find them.

I will apologise now before posting for not giving all the credit references, .. but most I'm sure are indirectly or directly attributable to the Sikorski Institute and Museum in London.

1st off ... Polish Para Bungee training helmet circa 1941 through 1944. (This was taken in March 1942).

                        Gary J.
