Interesting that he qualified as an MP. A Polish mate of mine's father was also an MP and he often recalled to him that when Black American soldiers would get drunk and rowdy they would often send for Polish MPs as they had a reputation for being tough no nonsense blokes.
His father fought at Monte Cassino.
