For further reading on the subject.

Was part of an earlier German documentary:

Good insight from the director of the movie.

"On 14 November 1946, Herold and five other defendants were executed by guillotine ..."

Now that's not something you read every day.

I'm going to see if I can find it on DVD auf Deutsch. The German produced movies are much better that way like Das Boot and Stalingrad. Better atmosphere.

I'm lucky. It already landed at the artsy cinema by me.

Little different trailer for English-speaking audiences too. Not just the subtitles, some segments are different.

I know what I'm doing tomorrow.

Saw it this past weekend. Very dark film.
Stay through the credits to see a quirky "extra".

T, saw it tonight--your assessment is dead on.
At the same time, it is an excellent movie, and deserving of the awards/honors it has received.

See it at the cinema if you have the opportunity.

I could not figure out what uniform this was supposed to be.
The character referred to himself as "SA", but it was a dark-blue (black?) uniform with Justice collar tabs (he was not justice, as there were other guards who were properly uniformed as Justice, and he referred to them as same).

Any ideas what this uniform was supposed to be?:

Collar tabs look like Justizbeamte in my limited exposure to that area which I do not collect. Those uniforms were a dark green. Possible that his uniform was "dark green" and un-noticeable due to the movie being black and white?
I remember that he referred to himself as SA as well. At that part I was like "huh?".
