I finally got to watching this and am about half way through.

I find it very good and well documented with great interview accounts from many different perspectives.

Very disappointed about the comments like "I heard it's bad, wont see it!" or "its unfair to give the NVA perspective". That seems very short-sighted and a bit ignorant.

I do think historically it seems to paint a more simplistic picture of the real situation than was probably clear at the time on the unwinnable nature of the war. History tends to do that in hindsight.

To comments on the quality of forces, they clearly point out after the LZ X-ray battle in '65 (which was a win) that the next week at LZ Albany US forces pretty much got beat pretty bad - of 425, 1/3 dead, 1/3 wounded....

The series does a great job on the 'will of the people' concept and how ardent the north was in the fight that losses didn't matter...
