Recieved my copy yesterday, via Amazon, which still lists it at the low price, but shows the book as temporarily unavailable.
The book confirms my initial impression after a brief perusal at the SOS; just an outstanding work, and chock full of detail and insight that one would not normally find.
Some great uniform details, such as the Luftwaffe flak gun captain wearing a sports pullover, and the Heer officer still wearing riding boots with spurs. Even a photo of a Heer soldier still sporting a double decal helmet in 1944.
I can highly recommend this book, and kudos to the authors & publisher.

They try to anticipate future sales and have stocks on hand.

Payments are made a month after the end of the preceding month (April sales will be paid at the end of May). The amount the publisher receives is normally determined by the list price. I'll be very interested to see if Amazon give Remy the correct amount, or a cut of their mistakenly lower price.

Remy, any word from Amazon on this?

What's really crazy about this whole matter is Amazon is selling the book at a loss. They are buying the book from me at -55% but selling it at -59% which makes no sense at all. Especially for a new release. I pointed this out to them and they replied they have the right to sell it for whatever price they want even if at a loss to them. They also mentioned that the discount varies from day to day and it can go in the other direction as well. So I don't expect it to stay there much longer and if they don't put it back to a more reasonable discount I will pull the item from them altogether.

Again all I can say to everyone is grab a copy of this great book at this ridiculously low price while you can!

Any orders they receive at this price should be processed by them without any problems. But I know it's not going to last. We finally had to take some action to stop them from selling it so cheap. So I expect the price to go back up again to a more realistic area in a few days.

I received my copy yesterday. I was fortunate to have rewards points from my Amazon Visa card, so I was able to get the book for a very nice price

What a physically impressive book! I also really like the detailed captions, I try to do something similar in my own work, which is why the writing is taking so long.

I do wish Peter Adendorf and Henri Reinsberg had been included in the book to a greater extent.

The book seems extremely accurate, which is the norm fr RZM. I've only noticed one thing that I question. I do believe the "F" in a rhomboid chalked on the wall was a tactical sign for the Frundsberg Division, not for the location of a radio site. The Frundsberg design with large "F" and oakleaf and rhomboid was pretty, and looked good on letterhead or stenciled onto something, but it wasn't a design someone without artistic ability could draw quickly in chalk. The "F" in a rhomboid was also used, and I think I have at least one photo showing it. I'll have to check later.

I had to look far and wide for that quibble, so good job! Usually, books leave me with lots of points to question!

                      Mark,

At first I thought the same thing but after a process of deductive reasoning and also a visit to the actual area in Arnhem back in June 2012 I concluded it was the location of the radio command post. There were a number of Dutch homes and store fronts which were taken over and used as command posts and radio rooms.

Regarding PK Adendorf and Reinsberg. I too wish the Bundesarchive or any archive out there would have the complete films taken by these two kriegsberichters. The Adendorf photo on page 269 is coming from a Hoffmann Press photo. I only included this one lone shot because it was taken most likely the same time and from a different street view as the other photo appearing on page 268 from PK Seeger.

I just wanted to let everyone know this fantastic book is still available for the rediculously low price of $38.18, I received my copy in the mail this afternoon. I know what I will be doing the rest of this evening. Great job on this book, if you don't have a copy I highly recommend getting one.
