Picked up a copy from Tim Harper World War Books yesterday,CONGRATULATIONS! A SUPERB book, stunning photos and well detailed captions, a must for anyone interested in the Arnheim action be it from a allied or German perspective, the images are captured as only a Kriegsberichter could, personal, emotive and harrowing.

I received mine last week in Australia. Great publication with very large published photos. Some I haven't seen before. Great job and well worth the purchase. Spending Easter reading the text!

Thanks gentlemen for the nice comments. I'm so glad to hear people are enjoying the large format I chose when designing the book. This format really draws you in and allows you to see plenty of details which would normally go completely unnoticed if shown in a smaller size.

                I agree; Excellent work!

Enjoy now to see the series taken of some well known images and a lot of unpublished photos as well. Great!

good call on the large format. some otherwise excellent books suffer from being too small.

having just finished "a bridge too far" i was really interested in seeing these places as they were.

The book is amazing! The sheer size of it gives so much detail.
                    Superb work!

I was thinking about ordering this book and the majority of the reviews look good, however I saw one review that said there are about 100 pages of photos of British POWs and repetitive photos of similar scenes from different perspectives/angles. Are both of these claims true???

                        Glen,

Just to see if it was true or not i counted how many pages had photos of only British POWs and it's roughly 56 and most of those photos come from one roll of film taken in Oosterbeek. So the statement of 100 pages is a gross exaggeration.
But I can totally understand how that one reviewer was disappointed. He sounds like a panzer enthusiast and was really hoping there would be more photos of German armor that he's never seen before. Sorry I couldn't make his dream come true.

If you buy the book from RZM or Amazon you can always send the book back for a full refund if you are not happy. Hopefully you will be pleasantly pleased with your purchase.

Impressive book and very well done! excellent large and clear photos printed on quality paper, if you have even a slight interest in the battles in and around Arnheim you will be pleased with this work!

as for the mention above about the quantity of POW photos, I for one enjoyed them and the chance to see the British airborne uniforms and kit.

Well done Remy And Harland and I look forward to any future books in the works!

Today I was going through some of the photos I took from my visit to Arnhem in June 2012. I wanted to retrace the steps of Kriegsberichter Jacobsen and Wenzel and make some "Then and Now" comparison photos. I will try to post more later on.

I am really happy with the book, like other folks already have mentioned, i too love the big pages and their photographs!

I was hoping for more new(to me) photographs but that doesn't change the fact i enjoy the book wholeheartedly. I noticed a few spelling errors with the translation from Dutch to English, nothing major.

Thanks! Glad you are enjoying the nice bog clear photos. It is amazing how even familiar photos now reveal new information that was not realized before. For example on page 214 the soldier facing the camera is not in fact from the Waffen-SS. But he is from a German Police unit. Look carefully and you will see the police sleeve eagle on his left arm and also the belt buckle is not Army or SS but silver pebbled for police. Plus his uniform has the police style pockets. Australian author and historian Scott Revell recently made this observation and will include this information along with the name of the police unit in his upcoming book.

In regards to translation errors. Please send me a PM listing the page number and word that needs to be corrected. That way when we do a 2nd printing we can fix it.
                                Thanks.
