New photo book Kampfraum Arnheim

Gentlemen I will be honest and tell you that "Kampfraum Arnheim" took forever to finish. However I now can finally say the book will be published and released before the end of 2012.

It will be available around the world from all your favorite dealers in December. I'll post the cover and a few sample pages. There is a lot of new information about the battle which we have written into the captions
and of course the photos we have selected are simply outstanding and I'm really happy to be able to present them in large format 12" x 12" (imagine the size of an old vinyl LP cover) so the the book is huge in size and you will be able to see ALOT of detail in each photo which normally goes unnoticed. I am looking forward in seeing this book being released. I am always interested in books about the Netherlands during WWII, especially relating to Arnhem, i was born there.

I have been waiting for this book to be published like years ago seeing it advertised at Amazon.

It looks certainly promising and I can't wait to get my hands on one of them...! Perhaps a pre-order discount is something to consider..

I read somewhere that Amazon will be coming to Holland before the end of the year. So you should be able to purchase from them and save on the shipping charges.

I remember "pre-ordering" this book when it was to be first published in 2003/2004 via Amazon.
... Paid in advance .... Amazon then said there was delayed publishing ... then Amazon could find "no record" of my pre-payment.

In the new Amazon write up it states "All images presented in this unique photo book were taken by official German War Correspondents."
I presume from this there are no "new" photo's published after all.

Gentlemen, thank you for your patience!

The last hurdle to finishing up the book is now behind us. There was a lot of time spent getting the military maps right to compliment the essays and text for the photos.

You would not believe how many mistakes we found in maps which had been previously published regarding the German forces fighting against the Allies in Operation Market Garden. So I am happy to report that the maps in "Kampfraum Arnhem" will be an added bonus to this book in addition to the many interesting photos.
