    Dead Snow

Anyone seen this one yet? Not sure if its out, just watched the trailer at www.deadsnow.com
Im sure it will be interesting to hear opinions about it here
Anyone still thinks that hollywood tends to do over the top movies that have nothing to do with reality should really take a peek
    cheers

Well. Dead snow is a scandinavian movie and is even more over the top than the hollywood ones, but that might be what you were hinting at. Saw it and im not impressed, though I enjoyed the MG-Snowmobile attack in the end... I think you might enjoy it if you have no hopes before you go into the cinema ^^

        hi

        Hi
Its a Norwegian film and its good.
Its also a very low budget film i think they only used around 2-4 million dollars to make it.
so i think they get a lot of value for the money.

        Best regards

If Oksfjord was a big naval port...shouldn't the zombies have worn Kreigsmarine uniforms?.....I don't think the uniforms looked authentic, even if they WERE supposed to be SS......I don't recall seeing any historical records of that many soldiers going missing or contacting a deadly disease during that time.....

Where were the SS insignia on their sleeves, collar tabs, helmets?

SS soldiers would never attack on foot, en masse, like that. They were trained to attack with flanking movements, as well as head-on....

That box that the kids pulled out with all that stuff inside was definitely of post-war manufacture.

Everyone knows that zombies would not be able to exist in freezing weather. They wouldn't be able to move.....Their joints would freeze solid, because they have no body heat.....
I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.....

            looks good to me

Surprised no one mentioned the blood order in that wooden box yet...I for one am looking forward to seeing it when it comes out- nothing like an old fashioned nazi zombie movie!!
            cheers

Nice observation on the uniforms regarding the area bobcam1

I quite enjoy zombie movies usually and "Dead Set" is one of the best zombie material I`ve seen. I think its a british or australian series...

What annoyed me the most in dead snow was the fact that the germans just pop up from the shallow snow.. Why not just make up a story about a gebirgsjäger outfit that fell into a glacier or something... Atleast that would explain the state of the uniforms and flesh

btw, the nazi "gold-chest" was pathetic.

                Hi

                Hi
Its a horror fun scary zombi movie and not an dokumantary, lol.
and what can you get for that money they used.
i think they did a fantastic work and take the movie for what is it a low budget horror\scary movie.and its of course an marketing thing to put yje nazi zombie in the movie a lot of free advertising around the world.

And if you want too see an more accurate war movie i recomend a movie called MAX MANUS.

Sounds as if someone stole the idea for "Teen Death Camp" written by the guy that made "The Surf Nazis Must Die". In "Teen Death Camp" some Waffen SS commandos are killed making an assault on the Texas Gulf Coast where they were to destroy the petro-chemical plants there. What they didn't know was that Hitler had committed suicide and the war was over during their U-boat trip over.
The U.S. doesn't want a scandal that they shot Nazis after the war had ended so they just buried them. Years later a teen summer camp was built over where the Nazis were buried and they return to life as zombies to terrorize the teens who are attending summer camp there.

The film was directed by the same guy that did kill buljo i think

There wasn't much around Øksfjord during the war except a coastal artillery battery or two, it was however at the mouth of a long fjord which leads to Alta where the KM had it's main fleet anchorage in the far North and where ships like Tirpitz, Scharnhorst, Hipper and Lutzow all hung out.
