Based on the numbers of favorable comments on this thread, I went to Amazon.com and ordered the DVD. I'll be interested to see how it is....

was it not also based on the papers of albert speer? ...

i have to say i have the english subtitles on. my german is sketchy a lot of the long scenes are hard to follow properly for me.

I was wondering the same thing. Traudl said that Hitler and Speer met in private, so if the dialogue is accurate, it must have come from Speer's memoirs.

Talk about fast and rough German - the subtitles were definitely helpful.
