This worked well to keep me accountable on my USS Texas model, so I hope this does the same. Picked this up at an estate sale as as the weather is getting cooler, I will start in on it again. It's going to take a while!

A funny thing happened on the way to build the Yamato... I made the poor decision to read a book about the loss of the USS Indianapolis in 1945 and then had the bug to build a model of the ship as I had purchased a 1/700 scale Tamiya kit of the ship when a local hobby store went out of business a few years ago and never had the desire to start on it til I read the book.
I discovered that my eyesight ain't what it used to be to do the detail work on a 1/700 scale model any more, but I persevered.
The other thing was that I started to detail out the rigging on my 1/350 Texas that I did last year (http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ight=USS+Texas) as I finally found a set of photos I had taken a few years back of her masts with detail on the rigging. So, long story short, I delayed the Yamato to take care of those two...
