    Yes, but on the other Hand, german uniforms become more and more uncomfortable. The material and the cut (M44) are very simplified, didn't give much weatherprotection and the uniform get easily out of place, when the soldier was in the field. Certainly, it was forced by the lack of material and the loss of recources, but on that part, german uniforms are realy not groundbreaking.

    In contrast, the US-Uniformsystem (M43? - I am not an expert in that classification), was pathbreaking. It became an example for the worldwide uniformevolution. It was a balanced, variable and so an comfortable system to each soldier.

    So the Allies could not much learn from the germans about how to dress a soldier, only how to camouflage him. The question is, what is more worth in the field?
