    Hi birdie,
    No.
Belive me, no proofs at all only the story of two unknown freaks who call themselves 'gold hunters' and few words of one loony member of authorities who said something on press conference without any proofs and proper reflection... All serious explorators here in Poland laugh at those revelations.
Since this became a worldwide topic, local authorities will probably check the area and drill the ground to see if there is anything underground and to cut the speculations. But this may take several weeks i think.
    Cheers,
    Hubert

How many armoured trains like that would have been made ? are there any others that survived the war ? There must be somewhere if they where not scraped after the war and not in musea ?

          Hi,

@ dylan : yes i remember your pictures, great work !

@ NickG : interesting to see that the Panzerzug on the Bild.de article is... a captured russian one.

@ BubbaZ : was it even confirmed that a bombshelter tunnel was built near the Fürstenstein castle for the "Führerzüge" ?

@ pak40 : it can be or a (military full) Panzerzug, or armored cars of a Führerzug (i'm using that term for all the "VIP" trains - Hitler, Göering, Himmler, OKW et).

Anyone is having the updated bible on the Panzerzüge by M. Sawodny ?

I'm planning to buy it for years, as i'm working on the various Panzerzüge that fighted in Pomerania, February-March 1945.

The "missing" Panzerzug is maybe already fully identified in the book...

          See You

              Hi Vince,
              No, not in this location.

                Hello Hubert,

                thanks for your reply.

So to date the only "bombshelter" (for Führerzüge") in the area is still the one built in the "Ochsenkopftunnel" ?

But as Peter Hoffmann pointed out "Tunnels for the trains should be ready for October 15, 1944", meaning that more than one bombshelter tunnel was planned.
Also is the "Fürtenstein" location was to be used in a way or another, a "ramp" should have been ready somewhere... with a bombshelter.

Here is the castle of Fürstenstein, with the railway.
I don't know if the famous train is buried, and if it is near the castle or not.

Do you may have more infos on the location ?
I'm sure the police is now monitoring the area right ?

                See You

                  Multiple trains now?

First 1 train...than maybe not? now...
Maybe as many as 3 trains?

There is a story that in 1945 there were three trains which came into the town and have never been found," said the director of culture at the Ksiaz castle.

Russian Imperial Amber room contents also on board? German troops stole the treasure chamber from a palace near St Petersburg in 1941
and took it to Koenigsberg, now the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, before it disappeared.

                    Hi,

Like Hubert said, they don't have any proofs of what they are talking about, this is just bad propaganda (like the escape of Hitler from Berlin or the "lost/last" U-boots from 1945 with "mysterious treasures". Just non-sense.
Oh and all seems to came from the british press, which already gave us the fabulous fake tunic and V2 german bombings a few months ago... I smell a rat.

The problem is that, as it was clearly written decades ago by Peter Hoffmann and his copycats, no plan of the underground works for the "Riese" complex seemed to exist. So anyone can imagine as many "hidden underground facilities" as possible.
The fact is that if no map of "Riese" complex exist, all the working sites were clearly identified at the end of the war, due to the thousand of OT / KZ workers in the area. Even more for underground facilities.

Also it is well known that for almost every single FHQ, problems delayed the possible activity period for them. What was planned (cf. Peter Hoffmann "Riese" presentation) was probably not finished in time - for example the possible extra bombshelters for "VIP" trains).

I know that the Amber Room is a very touchy subject, with major false propaganda used by the Soviet Army then now the russian authorities.
Do not forget that since last summer (2014), this is legally forbidden in Russia to say anything wrong about the Soviet Army during WWII, especially Katyn and now the Amber Room. So with the new cold war against Russia and... the rest of the World, this will become - again - a subject of dispute.

I would love to hear that finally the Amber Room was not destroyed, but many people are forgetting the heavy fights of Königsberg and all the other "Festungen" in Poland. When you see that Kolberg was also erased, i can imagine that nor the german nor allied or soviet troops didn't care (a lot) about the preservation of the ancient germanic world. And to date no proof of the packing of the Amber Room exist unfortunately.

                    See You

                    Vince

Since the one Polish official already put his foot in it by speaking out of his arse, I suspect this will quietly fade away... The Hitler Diaries, Spitfires in Burma, lost U-Boats, and now this...
