No sorry did not participate in that one....It's kind of "too much in your face ugly war" for it to be a decorative piece I think...Good for box art for a WW2 soldier play set!
I will update you guys on the next Dietz-project in July which will certainly again have some older guys posing which (for the negative posters) is not a big deal...Age and appearance can be altered with a brush stroke, so please don't even bring that up again.
(btw Kammoman and I already settled things by PM, his "coolness" challenge is done now).... No more diversions, we will stay on topic!

Thanks Chris...Yes the artists progression is interesting, different stages of how its done, many photos from different angles, sketches and the final result.
I see the thread got cleaned up! The coolness contest (called by "OT") quickly ended, I good thing! Thanks moderators for doing this.

Just wrapped up another Dietz shoot!
The theme is basically 101 A/B linking up with US armor in Normandy and jointly planning an attack on a German defensive position.

So all uniforms will be painted with Screaming eagles!

I get to carry the tripod around in the hot sun...We did have a nice coastal breeze at Fort Mac.

Group shot "Band of Brothers" after completion. Basically hundreds of pictures are taken of different poses,
different parts of various scenes and than its all tied into one Battle scene with many brush strokes into the final painting.
I will be in 2 scenes on the same painting, so we don't need a massive amount of men to do this...
