Nick, does he also take lots of pencil sketches of you guys at the time or rely on photographs which he copies out later?

Our last project was related to Market Garden. I am getting the chute put on for the sketch (see red arrow)
Not finished yet, but here's a rough sketch of the Master at work! Stay tuned!

Here's is an example of his work...A wounded A/B trooper being carried away...
Pictures are taken from all angles and then its incorporated in the print. The same was done with the German attackers...
So a massive amounts of pictures are taken and its all tied into the battle scene by the artist (who magically removes age with a brush stroke, amazing huh?)

The group posing with the artist and the Jeep used in the Market Garden Load scene.
(still a work in process) I'm in front of the medic holding my M1 Garand.

Here are 2 more A/B lithographs from Dietz that the group was involved with:
"Cross Roads at St Mere Eglise" and "Link up" ; the linkup of Omaha and Utah beachheads.
                (82nd A/B, 101st A/B, 29th Div, 2nd Armored and U.S. Army Rangers all depicted)...
Both with the trusty Jeep center stage!

Jealous? OK let's brag about our WW2 adventures. Hanging out with David Ayer and Brad Pitt in 2014 and posing in front of some armor in the old country was kind of cool, agreed!
OK, so you had to fly over there. Let me guess a 747?
At least I did it in style! Became a Colonel in the CAF in 1991 and got involved with warbird projects. When it comes down to "WW2 adventures" very few people can top this!
In 1997 I found the plane and coordinated the restoration. In order to maintain the "N" number the plane had to be registered to an American entity so I arranged a Las Vegas Corporation, listed as President and essentially (on paper at least) became the owner (with corporate shield protection). You can read the rest here...below!! (ferry flight 1998)

We can talk about it and other fun WW2 hobby adventures (and even the Pink smock topic) over a pint at an LA area Irish pub. You name the place and the time!
(the plane now resides in Texas btw)

I would love to. Have not been in so long.
I still get my ww2 fix locally ...I live 10 minutes from this place; (where the A26 was restored)

so I get plenty of warbird exposure still...My old boss even co-owns a P51 and a T-6 which I helped restore.

Here's an image of a fun photoshoot we did in one of their WW2 hangars in the 1990's. This expensive "jungle-gym" now resides in WA.

More here, starts in post 8 (I own all the gear we used)

                          Very nice, what an opportunity!

If you were going I'd take you out for a beer. I just want to see the Martin Mars, too many people there otherwise.

District Export Council Member "by appointment of the US Secretary of Commerce" for a 3 year term, which will be extended another 3 years in 2017.
Have met her several times of course...Also nominated as Vice-Chair of this organization effective 2017 and just been appointed last week to be
on the Board of Directors of the OntarioChamber of Commerce for a term of 3 years. Btw I am not a Government worker-bee. These are honorary positions!
and just a sampling of what is hanging in my office...

That's just a snap shot of this year btw...So what's your move going to be on the "coolness scale" ? A dated "Black Ops" red carpet pose maybe, wearing fake tiger camos?
an original Brad Pitt signature? or a plastic Oscar from the corner of Hollywood and Vine?
                            Can't wait!

or shall we just forget about your "challenge" and move on continuing the theme of MY thread without the need to attack it? OK?
My offer to buy you a pint or 2 is still open! Peace brother!

Hi Nick , So your "Mr Super glue" ....is there anything in R&D ,like a product improvement? The only thing I've been able to glue are my fingers.
                              Cheers Steve
