Last shot, an Airborne M551 Sheridan. There were a few more displays on modern Special Forces, Bosnia, and Airborne unit traditions.

All in all a great museum that has some really nice displays. Most of the items on display are named and attributed. Well worth the trip.

Here is the site for the museum.

As one of the attendees of this trip (hi Jack ), i have to agree that it's a great day out if you get the chance to visit.

The displays cover all the major (and some of the minor) conflicts of the last 60 years, and they are all very well presented with video, text, and audio enhancements as you wander around too. This adds to the whole atmosphere.
As jack has mentioned, the museum is staffed by veterans who are all volunteers.
One splendid gentleman i was honoured to meet was based in Dorset in the UK prior to his jump into Normandy, and i had a fascinating chat with him for a short while.

Myself and jack seem to have taken shots of similar things...but a collecting sideline of mine are the Vietnam conflicts, so here are a couple of extra shots.
First up, a US advisor to a South Vietnamese para unit.

Here is a different angle to the mortar team posted earlier.

More "Tiger stripe" than you can shake a stick at!

Lack of flash was a pain...hence the image edited photo below.

Another nice item was this named US jump jacket.
Although hard to pick out on the photo it was actually hand camo'd by the owner. A number of jump jackets on display had this trait.

Moving onto some of the superb Japanese displays.

Not much Japanese stuff to be seen in the UK.The bitterness felt by UK Burma campaign vets still runs very deep.....
looks like a knee mortar in the bottom right (?)

                  Sorry for the bad photos.

Here's a closeup of the Japanese para rifle.

                    See how it breaks down.
First one of these i've ever seen also!

Thanks for taking the time in both taking these photos and presenting them to us here on the forum. It has been awhile since I have visited the museum, look slike they have been hard at work.

Guys, any more photos of the Grenada/Panama/Desert Storm 1 stuff? That is what I collect and would love to see more photos if you have them. I loved the 7th Macho de Monte shirt! Wonder if they'd sell it to me for my collection? Probably not, huh? Great photos, guys. Thanks for posting them. Have either of you been to the museum down at Ft. Campbell, KY? Fairly small, but well worth your time.

Great photos guys Thanks for the virtual tour. Don't know when I'll get a chance to visit living out in the mountains now. Was there from 81-85 and got to visit sunny Grenada for a few weeks in 1983 to help evict the cubans.
