        Wasn't the Enterprise nuclear powered? The engines shown in the cut-away appear conventional.

        Edit: should have checked before posting... multiple nuclear reactors powering multiple steam turbines, which is probably what's shown in the illistration.

                                I wondered when someone would say something lol!

                                The last six pages of this self perpetuating, seemingly never ending 'MODEL BUILDING' thread are just photographs of a modern day carrier, it doesn't even belong in 'living history' as it is current. Sorry but what was at the beginning an interesting and impressive model building thread has just become a massive bore.
