'Monty' (one of the bloke's ol' feller) leads the way in to Bayeux. He definitely turned heads, and even got featured in After the Battle Vol. II.

These blokes were French: all badged up as Gordons. They had their own piper & drummer too.

Eetz zose Frainches again. I couldn't believe just how much kit these blokes had. I forget the name of the village where we bumped in to this lot (they were having a little 'show'), but it's well known to anyone who battled their way through Normandie in 1944. I'll have to look at my map.

And gawd knows where they'd got those assault vests from! They were superbly turned out.

'Monty' in the Dingo. Some things just seemed... odd.

I don't think that German re-enactors would've gone down too well. This little ensemble, however, did. I am rather biased though.

One bloke even lugged a bloody PIAT around all day. It takes all sorts I suppose. Gawd, they're heavy.
