      This is the Quad the guys from the Guernsey brought - an early mark. Badged (incorrectly) up to an RA Regiment in the 3rd Infy. Divn.

        And this is the later model Quad I travelled in. These were introduced in early '44 and were more practical. This one (which I did most of the specialist paintwork for) is marked up to an RA Battery in the 11th Armd. Divn.

          And this is what it's all about. We bumped in to a Black Watch reunion in Tilly. This bloke did it the first time around - and was also a piper in his time. Dave got invited to pipe in their celebration dinner - and a very emotional affair it was too. The old boys loved it and it added to their day.
