      I was serving in Germany in the early 1970s and took leave to go to London. Was able to visit the IWM. Glad to see the updated photos.
      When I was there they had an Me163 on the main floor. As I saw no pictures of it I assume it was rotated out as you pictured items I did not see back in the 70s.

            I will post them for you later this afternoon Jean-Loup .

            I also visited the Royal Engineers Museum at Brompton in Chatham, Kent. Its a fantastic Museum, hosting an incredible awards room. I mainly went to see their VC collection, but as luck would have it, they were rearranging their display so they were unavailable to view

            I have some nice photos from there to show you later too

                I didnt see Himmlers death mask , what a shame I would have liked too, I only had two hours to spend viewing the exhibits and really you need a whole day to take it all in.


                This interesting guy caught my eye though

                He is Tirpitz the pig

                Tirpitz was seen swimming in the water after the sinking of the light Cruiser SMS Dresden off the Jaun Fernandez islands on the 14 March 1915. A sailor on HMS Glasgow jumped overboard to save the animal.
                Tirpitz then became a mascot of the Glasgow and was later kept at Whale Island gunnery school, Portsmouth.
