A general shot looking across the hanger. In the corner is a Catalina flying boat. This one is Ex Danish Air force.

I would have liked to have taken more pics but I had forgot to check on my camera batteries But I will certainly return to the Museum again in the near future and take more pics.
Here are my last two pics. We sat in the car having a cup of tea and a cake. A Crow flew down to see if he could beg a few crumbs. After throwing him a couple of peices he then sat on my car wing mirror and I fed him from my hand. Never done this before with a wild bird.

It's changed a bit since I was last there (I bet Tony's been here a few times in his day) excellent pictures Ade, I didn't realise they had a Spitfire and Hurricane there.

It looks like I'll have to take my nephew out for the day soon

            Kind regards,

            Marcus

IsnĀ“t there a tale about pilots, they become birds when they have crashed?
Shuld have listen to my mothers fairy tales more when I was a little kid =)

              Good looking pictures.

Ade,great photo-tour ! It's times like this that I regret only having 2 little girls.Still,a bit late now Get the picture

As for the Meteor, there is one sat on the edge of the runway at RAF Llanbedr, near Shell Island,N.Wales where the Hulley family vacations each year.I'll have to see if they'll let me on the base to snap it.Also next door, and formerly part of the wartime base itself is the 'Maes Artro' 'museum of bygone days' or something like that.. http://www.maesartro.co.uk/.. they have some interesting (even for the girls) wartime exhibits,if ever you're on the coast road between Barmouth & Harlech it's on the left before the single track bridge. It shows how good it was,Tina & Tara insist they go back this year.....and who am I to refuse them (and I'll take the digital camera this time ) so watch out late August for some e-mailed pics.

                Cheers,Ian.
