Yes, they are the ones being built in Germany and that Interordnance was going to import but had a problem with. Are you saying that you don't think these will be able to be imported either?
I was under the impression that if some parts could be manufactured here, the rest of the parts could be imported and assembled here. What else do you know about these?

Well, I tried calling some of the dealers listed on their site for these weapons and there was no answer at some and the ones that did answer knew nothing about the guns, prices, or anything really. Sounds like another pipe dream.

they have skirted the law by bringing them in with thumb hole stocks and the mag well solid and not threaded on the end and ptr is in the process of machining them to correctness now whoooo hoooo ,i'm number 8 on the list

I got in touch and they said the price is $4295 plus $150 for any extra mags.

Off topic, but does anybody know where I can get a semi-auto version of the MP40 type?

Marstar Canada has been selling the semi-auto mp44's for awhile now only thing is for a Canadian to purchase one they have to hold a restricted PAL. And if you have that permit you can't use the mp44 for re-enacting because it can only be fired at a licensed firing range like at a handgun club. Also you have to have a permit to convey just like we do for a handgun
