I'd take an On The March tunic ANYDAY over LB.

I was just going to purchase a uniform from On the March when Virginia got sick.
Would nice to see pics on any OtM uniform (beside the ones on her site).

OtM tunics are nice but the buttonholes are wrong, there are a lot of details you could nitpick. I believe the wool is the same twill weave stuff LB uses so no bonus points there. Why do you like them better?

I find her colour is alot better than LBs grey shade that I've witnessed on most examples.
She also offers smaller sizes than LBs off the rack stuff.
I'll try to dig up pics of mu tunic for you, but I might only have them in wear...

The wool is the same twill weave Woolrich wool LB uses and the color is in line with LB as well.

To each their own then, I suppose. Findind a well fitting, small size and not the baggy-gut cut that many vendors sell pushed me towards OtM.

                    Thanks for the compliments gents.

                      Chris,

I have to respectfully disagree with you there. Virginia does not use the same wool that Ed does. Virginia's wool comes from Europe. I think Ed has his milled here in the US or Mexico. The buttonhole are right on, so I don't know what you mean. She makes the best repo on the planet in my opinion.

I have about a dozen original tunics and by far Virginia's are the best. They are the closest thing to an original I have seen. I like Ed's stuff and it is good for off the rack. His tailoring is excellent, however his wool is slightly to heavy and loose. This is why his tunics get fuzzy when wet.

Virginia's wool is the exact same weight, color, thickness, and denisty as an original wool. She has both a early war wool and a mid war wool.

I agree with you that Janke is crap. I bought a Janhke back in the 90's when they were still the cream of the crop, but they do not slant their top pockets (or didn't). The quality of Janke has suffered considerable in the last 12 years.

Here is a picture of a OTM as compared to an original.

                        OTM v LB

Here is a comparison of LB, OTM, and an original. The LB is on the right, OTM on the left.

                          Otm

Here is an M-34 tunic she made me. All she had were the pictures in "Feldbluse" to go by.

Thanks for the pictures Abzeichen! It feels like that I didnĀ“t order a uniform from OTM when it was possible.

                                thanks in advance............
