Never heard of this either. Would be willing to wait to hear what an expert had to say though. At this rate, it looks like this is what everyone will be saying.

Yes, this seems as a sort of tale but it's not hidden the fact that Hitler admired so much the native indians for their uses and roots...!

I believe that the reporter, of this story, perhaps had a bit of Native American peyote button tea. After a sip of that, he might have found himself surrounded by 'Indians' telling him stories!

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

            Bob.

Standing Bull is a good name for this.

How is this for an expert, Robert Koehl was an OSS officer during the War sand operated as the US expert in the ETO on SS. He is still alive and is a good friend. He remains one of the World's experts on the Waffen SS. Several years ago he told me there were Americans in the SS but less then 20 known, all White.

The design on the knife sheath is a metal stamp and is not Native American.

This, in my opinion is complete nonsense but I would love to see data to the contrary. That knife looks like someones YMCA summer camp project.

If from one side I think that believing in this story it's like to "teach to sing to a pig" ( ), from the other side it would be nice to discover if, for any reason, can exist some reference about....german army in general had trrops of various nations....indians...chineses...if I remember well also mongols..so...why not native american indians??

Believe it or not, that bowie comes from Ardenne.Obviously I haven't any experience with this kind of knives and I believe in your words but less about the use from Boy Scouts or YMCA people...unless they bears hunters!!!

Following this info, it would be really interesting to go deeper and knows who were those 20 men and where they fought! It's very interesting!

The ones I am aware of were German Americans ie. white. There were some prison sentences given after the War to Americans in Kurt Eggers. I do not remember their names.

It looks like your Italian friend took this joke post as real. As I thought, the story is complete nonsense. This was a joke.

That is the biggest crock of s h i t I have ever read in my life.
There is no record of any Native American serving in any Nazi outfit.
BY THE WAY CALLING A NATIVE AMERICAN A "R*****" IS LIKE CALLING A BLACKMAN A "N*****".
!!!!!!!PLEASE DO NOT DO THAT AGAIN!!!!!!!

Read the link in 24. The term is part of a block quote from another website and was not written by the person who started this thread. The term was used by a non-american from an ignorance of the negative meaning but not from malice. I try to take the occasion of a misunderstanding to educate and improve not to punish.

Some subjects are very sensitive. Sometimes just because someone doesn't understand very well mayby they should keep their mouth shut instead of blundering into a conversation that might piss some folks off. If that position upsets you thats to damned bad. You can cloak stupidity and bigotism any way you want. Intellectual discussion, what if or whatever. Bigoted arrogance is just b******.
                              Thanks to all.
