    Hello!
I was in the Ardennes a few weeks ago. I think you must visit Malmédy and Poteau. Poteau has a great museum!

Try to go to La Roche,a nice museum in comparaison with the poor museum of Poteau for the same price.
La Roche is 30 minutes from La Gleize.
From La Gleize you go to Trois-Ponts,Vielsalm,la Baraque de Fraiture and finally La Roche.
Museum is in the centrum of the town, easy to park your car and a lot of coffee to take a drink or eat something.

        Ardennes,

You should indeed go to the La Roche en Ardenne museum, here the link to the museum website, http://www.batarden.be/ , also take a good look around when you are driving to La Roche, lots of monuments and vehicles in the villages you cross. Also take a look in Stavelot, there’s a US halftrack besides the bridge where kampfgruppe Peiper crossed the river Ambleve, also have a look at an more unknown remain of WWII, its between Stavelot and Trois Ponts, you see a little bridge over the Ambleve, its called Petit Spay, in the third curve in the road you will find an old building called “kinderheim”, an platoon of kampfgruppe Knittel has bin in some fierce fighting there, you can still see some bulled wholes and other damage on the old building, just a good place to visit and feel history, have fun.

No thanks, my pleasure, perhaps you could post some pictures here when you get back from your Ardennes trip.

Here a list of interesting museum links in the Belgium Ardennes and Luxemburg, there are also interesting vehicles and monuments in some villages you cross, Panther tanks in Celles, Grandmenil and Houffalize, but lots of other vehicles and monuments too, keep your eyes open when you drive through the Ardennes country site, have fun.

We went last year with a WAF group and had lots of fun. The King Tiger is a must see, same as the museum where the Tiger is standing in front of.

Well just check the thread for more info

Diekirch is the place to visit! If you like fascist junk, its full of it!!

Particularly notable are the huge cases of German soldiers personal photographs. These tell a story far more detailed and true than the usual propaganda BS. You could spend a couple of hours just picking through those!

La Roche was my favorite city in the Ardennes. It has an M-4, an M-10 and a museum. The city itself is beautiful. The Poteau museum is by no means overrated, the have a SU-100, M-4, M-5, 105MM German Howitzer and both American and German Halftracks (even if the German is a Czech Tatra). It also have a couple of rooms of smaller objecs including rifles and uniforms. The ride on a halftrack is interesting enough.
