Two weekends ago I made a 2 day trip to St. Malo and Mont St. Michel...originally just moreso tourism and see the sites, but when I arrived I realized how significant St. Malo was for the Normandy campaign! Thus I got to see lots of bunkers etc. I'm attaching a bunch of pictures with slight narration.
Going back a little further in history, the city's fort, built to protect the harbor from the English a few hundred years ago and manned by about 100. Cannons had a reach of 15-30 miles if I remember right...
