ca.500meters from this batterie there is two national memorials from the wiking/christianity of Norway. The first is Harald`s haugen where the king Harald H******229;rfagre who christianed Norway is buried and the secound is the cross hill from the same period.
He died in 988. He was famous from the battle of Harfsfjord (Harfsfjord was also a NS Hird cuff title for their black uniforms).

The stone cross have a mg bunker beneath but is not clearly seen.
Haralds haugen or Haralds hill was popular among Quisling`s party and they had rally there. It was popular among the wiking inspired germans as well...
    Enjoy...

                    Hi
I forgot to mention that one of my teachers on technich school in the middle of the 90`s told me that in early 50`s when he was young, he and his friend had their bicycle steers full of german helmets and gas masks.
There were lots laying around in the bunkers.
I was a bit stunned that it had layed there for so many years after the war.
He gave me a 88 grenade warhead (empty of coarse) wich he had left from the fort...
