Late 70's ,yup you are long overdue for a visit you probably saw it about the same time as myself before the recent visit.
To your question, yes the items taken by the US sailors is on exhibit including the sub/minesweeper badges, EK2's , shoulder boards and leather cold weather gear is on display, one of the flags form the subs storage locker is also on display.
Interestingly enough, at least for me, there are also items found during the rehab of the sub that fell between the floor decking during the war, canteens, food stuffs etc.
I use a Canon Power Shot Pro 1. It's a pretty nice camera, though the light levels in the museum were pretty low and as a result some images such as the Stuka tail should have been done at a slower setting.
