Damn!! I was cought in the act by some DDR Guy But... all he wanted was a picture with me

Well that's it. The exhibition was organised in a very small room and I was impressed how many items one can put in so small room and organise the whole exhibition. Now I have realised that i forgot some pictures of the uniforms. I will post them tommorow. I hope You can enjoy the pics. Because of lack of time their quality is not as I wish them to were

Actually it was a pure accident that I was near the exhibition place. I don't know if the exhibition had been organised in the past years, but I would rather deny it. The exhibition will be shown till next sunday, so if You want to go there is still time to do it.

Well I was there during official opening with the whole cermonies etc. There were about 60 individuals who came there with me (mostly elder people, who knew what it was to leave in a separated country). What I found sad, was the total lack of the young people - no interests or total ignoration?...

As I said it was the VERY first day of this exhibition and its location (small village located on the border though!), made it maybe more local event than it truely was.

Nevertheless I am happy that I was there I have nothing to do with this field (DDR) but I found the exhibition great and I have learned much

Looks like there was as much about the "other side of the wire" as there was about the DDR. Certainly there are lots of things there which I can only presume are "Bonn State" ;-) rather than DDR

Here is the forgotten image of the uniform of some officer. Medal bar is made of two streight plastic (!!!) bars.
